Healthlink Family Medical Centre is involved in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. Patients are encouraged to receive the COVID-19 vaccine when it is available and offered to them. The vaccine will become available in phases. To find out when you can receive a COVID-19 vaccine use the Vaccine Eligibility Checker.
When you are eligible for your vaccination you can book an appointment via the Vaccine Eligibility Checker, or by clicking the Book Now button below and selecting 'COVID-19 Vaccinations'. Please ensure that you have completed the eligibility check and bring any required documentation. If you arrive and you do not meet the requirements we will not be able to administer the vaccine.

Message from our owners
We are pleased to announce the launch of GP Telehealth consultations.
You can book a Telehealth appointment with Dr Amit Patel for the following services:
We use the Healthdirect Video Call Platform supported by the Australian Government Department of Health and most State Governments. It is used by hundreds of clinics around Australia.
How it Works:
How much it costs:
Medicare introduced a Telehealth rebate on 1st November 2019. You are required to live in a remote area and have seen Dr Patel three times in the last 12 months to be eligible for the rebate. If you are eligible for the rebate you will be bulk billed.
If you do not meet the Medicare criteria there will be a consultation fee of $49 which will be payable at the time of booking the appointment.
At present this service is only available to patients who have attended Healthlink at least once before.
We will update the service at regular intervals and plan to offer more and open to more patients in future.
Please contact Reception on 07 4773 3933 if you would like to book a telehealth consultation.
Patients are seen in the following order:
If you come in on the same day as a walk-in patient when all our pre-booked appointments have been taken, there may be a waiting time which depends on the number of doctors on duty and the number of patients needing to see a doctor. If there is a long wait, you can go on a waiting list and come back later. Waiting times vary during the day depending on when you book in.
After Hours Care:
If you need to contact a doctor when the surgery is closed, please call our after hours phone number advised on the after hours message when you phone the surgery. The fee for an after hours consultation is $150 payable at the time of consultation.
Healthlink Family Medical Centre has a flexible system of bookings to see a doctor.
You can either:
• pre-book an appointment with a specific doctor, time and day. To do this, phone us.
or
• walk in to be seen between appointments on the day.
You can phone ahead to check the waiting time and enquire whether there are any pre-booked appointments available. We leave some time available every day for walk-in patients.
